That little dweeb at 0:44 is dead wrong. It is not illegal to film or photograph people in public.
The law (as told to me by a member of the OPS) – is that it is even legal to take photos of someone through their window if they don’t bother to draw the shades.
In fact, telling people that you are going to call the cops or have them removed from the park for filming – that actually is illegal, I believe. It is “intimidation”, if I am not mistaken.
So that little dweeb broke the law. On Camera. If it had been me he’d been talking to, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to file intimidation charges against him. Freedom is freedom, punk.
So you’d all better be really careful in the future, because if I go down there with my cameras – as I did last week – and if anyone lips-off like that at me or my wife, they might find themselves answering to the cops.
So you tell all your campers that if they don’t want to be on camera, then go home. And stop being so bloody lippy with the public. Who the hell do you think you are, anyway? You are their by the grace of this city. One call from just one disgruntled local, and that park is clear in one hour. You know this. So shape up.
